Hi friend,

Let me introduce myself. My name is David Robles and I am a graphic designer from Huelva (a city in the South Spain).
I am writing to you because I would like to present you a very exciting project I have been working on for several months. This project emerges from the great admiration and respect that I have always felt for the Oriental culture in general and the Asian graphic design and illustration in particular.
It is a book in which I would like to create a bridge between the Asian graphic design and illustration and the Occidental ones. Therefore I have thought that the classical Occidental artist Diego Velazquez could be the reference and his work can be performed by contemporary Asian designers.

If you are interested in participating in this project, it will be necessary for you to send me one or two creations covering the work of this famous Spanish painter and your personal information: name, age, country where the studio or the company is located, address and web page. I will also need a short explanation of your work, a picture of the author/s and an authorization to reproduce your work/s.
You can send your works in vectorial formats (Freehand Illustrator CS or a previous version) or as bitmap files (.jpg 300dpi ) the book is 20 widthx27height cms one page and 40widthx27heigthcms doublepage to this email address: creativos@gestocomunicacion.com.
To thank you for your collaboration we will send you a copy of the book once it is published.
If you are interesting the deadline for the submission until 15 december 2009.

If you know others oriental designers or illustratror you could pass this information

I would like to thank you in advance for your collaboration.
Best regards from a collegue,

David Robles Ramírez
